Pencil Pushers Shaving Soap (Vegan)

Many people remember their early school years in terms of smell. Scented markers, old books, lunch-room milk, it all combines into a distinctive scent memory, the kind of thing that transports you back to being a kid almost instantly. But, more than anything else, people remember the smell of pencils.

Grade school pencils have a distinct aroma, a kind of pulpy, mineral cedar, accented by the roasted character imparted by the grinding of wall-mounted, hand-cranked pencil sharpeners. The sappy, woody tang of tens of thousands of cheap, mass-produced pencils is one of our fondest, most distinctive memories of childhood. That's the smell of Pencil Pushers. That's the smell of home.

Available exclusively in our vegan Omnibus ("Veggiebus") shaving soap base.

Pure nostalgia

This stuff is stunning. Immediately upon opening it the cedar truly does translate to freshly sharpened pencils. Great, smooth shave from the vegan soap, not noticeably different from the non-vegan. The best part was the small whiff of pencil shavings throughout the day, little surprise nostalgia moments.
