- Ingredients
- Clean, classic scent that’s versatile and perfect for any occasion.
- Absolute hard water tolerance.
- Incredibly creamy, dense lather
- Superlative slickness
- Excellent post-shave feel
Net Wt. 4 oz, Made in the USA
Wet your shaving brush well, then swirl it around the jar for about 25 swirls or until a rich, creamy lather is formed. Continue building the lather by adding water (lots of it) and swirling your brush either on your face or in a lathering bowl. Shave, rinse, and spend your day feeling great.
Note: This soap is very soft and may be easy to overload. If the lather seems thin or glue-like, continue to add water until a dense, creamy lather forms.

I have used Barrister and Mann shave soaps and after shave splashes exclusively for a few years. In my opinion, best shave for the money. The Reserve line are all pleasing scents and the classic is no exception. Excellent slickness and post shave feel, and paired with the splash, a great classic scent that is not overly strong. If you are new to Barrister's shave soaps, then any of the reserve soaps are a safe bet, you won't be disappointed. Make sure you spend the time to learn how to lather these softer soaps. Easy to lather, but they are thirsty soaps. There is a video on YouTube I recommend you watch. My favorites in order are Lavender, Fern, and now Classic!!

This is a great soap. It’s the third one I’ve gotten in a few months. I love the slickness of it, great cushion and glide for my razor. The scent is crisp and light. I highly recommend it with the splash as well. You won’t be disappointed.

My husband loves this soap! Classic is the perfect description. It smells great. Always a good shave!

Love the Reserve line. It works better for me than any other shaving soap I've ever used. 10/10 results for both shave and post shave every single time.

I’ve had a few shave with this soap by now. While I haven’t tried it with the hard water in my area I can tell you that with purified or distilled water it’s out of this world great. I can see how it can be troublesome to work with if you don’t know what you’re doing but I remember the interview Will had with west coast shaving and how he recommended 25 swirls with a wet brush and to add lots of water. It does take time to build a proper lather but what a great lather you wind up with! Fantastic slickness, great protection, stellar post shave. The scent is what I’d describe as bright bright bright. Sun up was an accurate name for the folks who originally made this scent. Something about it actually brings forth a feeling of nostalgia and I didn’t even live when sun up was produced. Very powdery scent to me that does become more appealing as time goes I’ll definitely want to try more from this series
