Barrister's Reserve® Cool Washable Pomade, 2 oz
Crystal Lake Water Based Pomade is a medium hold, medium shine, water based pomade. Always keeping the hair’s health in mind, each jar is handmade with quality plant-derived ingredients, unlike a lot of water based products on the market which are full of harsh chemicals.
Crystal Lake does not get dry or stiff, allowing you to restyle all day like a traditional oil based pomade. You won’t experience any flaking or a helmet head like most gel type water based pomades. The best part: it washes out with shampoo. Get ready to revive your hair...again and again and again.... Get yours before they're gone!
Net Wt. 2 oz, Made in the USA
The scent is delightful. The pomade provides a light hold. Many times I’m looking for a more firm hold. I found that application of some gel with the pomade does the trick.
Decent Hold Good Scent
I was a little disappointed by the size of the jar but because of the consistency of the pomade i think it'll last as long as the larger jars that i used to get. The pomade is stiff but it works as good as i had hoped and as advertised. Holds well but doesn't make your hair stiff, doesn't feel greasy, and washes out easily with water. The smell is a huge plus too! Will be buying again.
Amazing scent and hold
The scent transitioned well from the shave soap to the pomade. It’s a great crisp scent that lingers after applying the pomade. The pomade holds all day and even into the next day. You can make the look slicker or dryer depending on how wet your hair is upon application. The pomade starts off hard in the jar but spreads nicely in your palm. I use my index finger to spread the pomade in my palm with completely dry hands.
Scent is great, but pomade is not so great.
Let me start off by saying I’m a huge B&M fan and have over a dozen sets of soaps and splashes from Will & Co. I’m also a daily suavecito pomade user. I have the Reserve Cool soap and splash and love it, so I rolled the dice on the pomade. I’ve used it about 5 times now, and it’s very hard and not so easy to apply. I’ve tried adding a bit of water and some vigorous rubbing to heat it up with friction, by its too thick and *****. It also seems to leave some white particles in my hair right off the bat as well. I do however like the way it feels when I comb it through my hair. It has a nice thick resistance. After all, I’ll be going back to my suavecito, which is easier to apply and wash out. If you ever do pomade again, I hope you can add your fragrances to the suavecito base as its far superior. Until then, I’ll still be buying your soaps, aftershaves, and edt/edp, but I’ll be passing on the pomades.
