Hand & Body Soap: Dickens, Revisited
2- The Scent
- The Soap
- Ingredients
Dickens is a limited edition fragrance for the holiday season.
The original incarnation of Dickens was our very first holiday scent, and still one of our very favorites! But we felt that it needed a little bit of an update, so we toned down the sugar and reworked the cherry for something a little bit more grown-up, but still wonderfully cheerful and festive.
Patterned after one of Will's favorite holiday cookies, Dickens, Revisited combines notes of cherry, black pepper, nutmeg, cardamom, and lemon into a spicy, merry scent perfect for a shave before fighting hordes of shoppers or opening presents. Each package will include a copy of the recipe, too!
Sometimes there's nothing so comforting as good old-fashioned bar soap. Tyler Durden called it "the yardstick of civilization," and it has long been in the running for the most important medical development of all time. It's safe to say that we would not have made it nearly as far as a species were it not for the invention of soap in Sumeria thousands of years ago.
Keeping with this, our bar soap is made simply, with a simple formula. Beef tallow, the key ingredient in our shaving soap, also makes a heck of a bath soap, and we've combined it with coconut oil, castor oil, shea butter, and a little extra glycerin to produce bar soap that's durable, properly cleansing, and that won't dry out your skin. An excellent soap made in an ancient tradition, our Hand & Body Soap will keep you healthy, clean, and smelling great.
Net Wt. 5.25 oz, Made in USA
Tallow (Beef), Water, Coconut Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Castor Oil, Glycerin, Shea Butter, Fragrance, Vitamin E

Freud suggested, in Civilization and Its Discontents, that the use of soap might fairly be seen as a yardstick of civilization. Who, here, would argue with that? Add in a delightful smell (aroma?) and the practicality of soap in a pandemic, and you've got the perfect gift for you or your loved ones. Get some now, before it goes away!

I like this version of Dickens better, it smells less like a cookie and more like a complex cologne.
