Clusterfig Aftershave Splash (Deltus)

+
Clusterfig is a seasonal scent for Autumn and will be discontinued on December 31st.

“To eat figs off the tree in the very early morning, when they have been barely touched by the sun, is one of the exquisite pleasures of the Mediterranean.”
― Elizabeth David, An Omelette and a Glass of Wine

Known the world over for its fresh, delicate, floral aroma and lushly succulent flavor, the fig is one of the great hand-me-downs of antiquity, a relic of our ancestors long considered one of life’s great delights. Despite its popularity in cuisine, fig has only recently entered the world of fragrance, with the first “true fig” (Diptyque's Philosykos, according to famed perfume critic Luca Turin) released in 1996. Several fig soaps have made it to market in recent years, but many of them tend to be sharp and tangy or rich and spicy, with little variation between. We at Barrister and Mann thought that it was high time to change that.

Clusterfig is a soft, evanescent blend of green fig, orange blossom, jasmine, amber (the old-school benzoin/labdanum/vanilla version), lemon, apple, and violet. Sweet and floral without being heavy, delicate without being overtly feminine, we consider it one of the best figs out there, and we’re very excited to bring it to you this Autumn. Clusterfig may be a bit of a different take on the cooler months, but that’s what makes it all the more special.

Net Wt. 3.5 fl oz

Shake aftershave into your palms (we recommend an amount about the side of a quarter) and rub them together for 3 seconds. Rub your palms over your freshly shaven skin. There may be a mild sting upon initial application, but your face is about to look, feel, and smell awesome. We know you can handle it.
Alcohol Denat., Hammamelis virginiana (Witch Hazel) Distillate, Fragrance, Aveena sativa (Oat) Kernel Protein, Calendula officinalis (Calendula) Flower Extract, Saccharide Isomerate, Sodium Lactate, Propanediol, Aqua, Enteromorpha compressa (Seaweed) Extract, Silybum marianum (Milk Thistle) Fruit Extract, Ocinum sanctum (Tulsi Basil) Leaf Extract, Allantoin

Bright, Sweet, reminds me of another B&M profile but I don't remember which yet!

I didn't try Clusterfig before when it was available, I wish now I had. Very nice.

Fig, jasmine, vanilla – lovely!

About as floral an aftershave as B&M have put out – and it's a pleasure in these dark winter months.

Fresh & Clean

First, I'm really enjoying the Deltus base. For whatever reason, not as drying as previous aftershaves. These splashes still have the recognizable slight sting and tightening, but they also leave the skin moisturized and soft. I have sensitive skin, and this splash is tolerated extremely well. Second, this scent is addictive. Much like my review of the soap, this scent isn't necessarily fall-like. Instead I get a very clean, fresh, new scent. Hints of powder, with a touch of citrus, and the fig is in there as well. It reminds me of a new, spring morning. Certainly a top scent from B&M.

Great Aftershave in a Casual, Fun Scent!

Excellent splash to finish of your shave! The Deltus base really feels great on your skin. This matches the Clusterfig soap perfectly!
