Wife told me to wash it off because I smelled like dirt. Personally I think the scent is very unique and maybe an aquired taste. Performance is great as always and I really like the balms. I hope Will comes out with matching balms for everything. -1 stars for the wife hating it with a passion

Whoa! What an amazing scent! I hope this is a seasonal and not a limited release. The scent is fresh; a little bit floral (white floral); crisp (from the cold air accord); and green and earthy (from the lichen and fir notes.) This scent was love at first scent. Just well done all around. The soap itself is excellent. Never had any problems with Excelsior base. Great slick and creamy lather.

I broke a shave soap purchase sabbatical to buy this one and glad I'm did. The performance is on par with other B&M soaps - nice glide, good face feel, easy to lather. I almost wonder if there's just a touch of methanol to it - "cold air" I think is listed as one of the ingredients and my face does feel a slight, pleasant cooling effect with this soap. The scent I love - it almost reminds me of a winter version of Petrichor, another B&M soap that's on my top five list. Eigengrau to me smells like a winter fougere, a cool floral scent with a sharp top note that keeps it masculine. I think that floral note throws some people, but I think it's absolutely well done here - it smells like a frozen bouquet to me, if that makes any sense.

The scent is intriguing, and has quickly become one of my favorites. The shave experience is predictably awesome, as usual with B&M!

Super lathering and slickness with a fragrant masculine scent! It’s a staple of my rotation.
