Cool is a 'classic' and 'classy' scent

Cool is a scent that grows on me with each use. It smelled great when I first got it, but the little nuances keep expanding with further use. The actual shave performance is top notch.

My favorite barbershop scent. I'm not a fan of overtly sweet and powdery takes on barbershop. This one is green, fresh, invigorating with just a hint of sweetness. Smells like blooming trees in May. Omnibus base is absolutely top notch. Last, but not least, customer service, communication and packaging is the best in business, and I have quite a collection of the US artisans. Highly recommended!

You Will Miss It When It's Gone!

Hearing that Cool was being discontinued was a gut-punch. I guess that I'm old-fashioned, but I really love the old Reserve fragrances (e.g. Cool, Fern, Classic and Spice) and seeing them disappear is hard to comprehend. As much as I appreciate Will's creativity (other all-time favorites are Fougere Gothique and Roam), I feel that there aren't enough simple fragrances in the B&M lineup. The original Reserve soaps really scratched that itch for me (along with having THE best tubs of all time, IMO). I understand that discontinuing Cool was a business decision, but I have to wonder if these soaps ignored because of the more kitschy releases. I guess that on the plus side, the announcement of Cool's fate was followed by the new pricing for samples. I already have five, but I will probably keep stocking up on Cool samples as long as they are available at this price!

Super nice soap

What I have found with all Barrister & Mann soaps, on does not need an after shave lotion. I just wipe my face with a wet micro towel.
