Project Notes:

Despite no longer possessing an olfactory nerve, zombified subjects are inexplicably repelled by certain odors. We have combined several of these, notably rose, geranium, ashes, nutmeg, saffron, sage, oud, labdanum, oakmoss, patchouli, tobacco, and violets (specifically those taken from deceased persons) to produce a working zombie repellent. We have code named the formula Lyssa, after the virus which causes zombification, and have begun distributing it through a local company, Barrister and Mann, in the form of fragrance-equipped survival kits.

Barrister and Mann is proud to announce our collaboration with local research laboratories to bring you the world’s first fully functional zombie repellent. After careful study and experimentation upon captured zombies from a local reanimation (known in the annals of history as "The Templeton Cemetery Incident”), these labs have developed an aroma-based agent to keep the undead at bay. Christened “Lyssa” by its creators, and conveniently packaged in a shaving soap, aftershave, and eau de parfum, this special blend will keep you safe from even the most relentless walkers.

Net wt. 3.5 fl oz., Made in the USA
Shake aftershave into your palms (we recommend an amount about the side of a quarter) and rub them together for 3 seconds. Rub your palms over your freshly shaven skin. There may be a mild sting upon initial application, but you'll be safe from zombies. That's how you know it works.
Denatured Alcohol, Hammamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Distillate, Aqua, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Fragrance, Calendula Officinalis (Calendula) Extract, Panthenol, Sodium Lactate

Lyssa Aftershave - Excellent

Absolutely outstanding scent which lasts a full day. Great, complicated rosy scent.

Absolutely stunning

Will really outdid himself with this scent. It immediately became one of my top 3 scents by him. (For comparison I love 42 and Le Grand Chypre). It comes off roses and floral at first but that settles down into a complex scent that while great for a man, could even smell nice on a woman. I’m a sucker myself for rose scents. The rose is noticeable but I wouldn’t say it dominates. One of my favorites from my favorite shave soap company!

No much to rave about

Lyssa tries but fails to muster up the smell of the fall season. Last year's hallows had that cold foggy night in a marshy bog smell. it was a pungent smell but it works nicely. Lyssa simply doesn't smell of anything in my opinion.

Great Aftershave, Limited Versatility Scent

This splash is top notch stuff. Great performance is the main reason B&M is always mentioned when shaving products are mentioned. The splash, without consideration paid to the scent, is easily 5-star worthy. However, I find that the scent is lacking in versatility for me. I'm not a huge fan of rose-forward scents to begin with, and this one definitely highlights the rose, front and center. I knew that going in, so I'm not knocking it for that. Honestly, the scent is very fun, but I don't think I would utilize it outside of any Halloween-themed events. To me, the overall scent is very reminiscent of that funeral home-flower scent. Given the zombie theme and the time of year for which this was released, it knocked it out of the park. I just don't see myself using it a whole lot between now and next Halloween. Mind you, I don't think it's bad, at all. Just limited in how much use I will get out of it.
