Allá por los días de gloria de los lobos de mar salados, los marineros usaban tinturas de ron de bahía de las Indias Occidentales y especias como desinfectantes, fragancias, desodorantes y lociones para después del afeitado. Con el tiempo, muchas casas famosas de fragancias y afeitado adoptaron la costumbre y ofrecieron sus propias versiones del aroma clásico, que resultó ser muy popular también entre los barberos.
Barrister and Mann® se enorgullece de ofrecer nuestra propia versión de un Bay Rum clásico. Al prescindir de la costumbre moderna de utilizar grandes cantidades de clavo, mezclamos ron negro real con bahía de las Indias Occidentales, naranja dulce, canela y benjuí (una resina similar a la vainilla). Nuestro Bay Rum es un clásico cálido y masculino, un pedazo de historia y uno de los favoritos para el invierno, pero se adapta bien a cualquier época del año.

I get clove, citrus peel, and bay laurel from this cloudy elixir. This is strong and excellent.
I very much enjoy the smell. It reminds me of glühwein or homemade Thanksgiving cranberry sauce (scents of clove and citrus zest). My main complaint is that it fades within a few hours.
The smell doesn't match the soap or balm, but it's still a great smell that compliments them both. It's lacking the sweet orange that seemed to be the star of the show in the soap, but the spice notes are on point

I needed another summer cologne and this delivered. Quality bay rum cologne is expensive and hard to find these days. It should never become obsolete. I cherish Just Right for a Tuesday and Fougere Gothique. Another quality cologne from Barrister and Mann. I trust Barrister and Mann because they only make high quality goods. Most my other colognes are weak and lacking.
It's a very nice fragrance with a good amount of complexity. It is very sweet smellin,g but with that in mind it pairs really well with the formal events I've been attending during this warm summer
So happy to finally have an EdT to accompany Barrister's excellent Bay Rum shave soap and aftershave. The fragrance is perfect, green and spicy, smells very natural. It must have quite a high concentration of natural oils indeed, given the dense translucent appearance.
