Dickens, Revisited Aftershave Splash
The original incarnation of Dickens was our very first holiday scent, and still one of our very favorites! But we felt that it needed a little bit of an update, so we toned down the sugar and reworked the cherry for something a little bit more grown-up, but still wonderfully cheerful and festive.
Patterned after one of Will's favorite holiday cookies, Dickens, Revisited combines notes of cherry, black pepper, nutmeg, cardamom, and lemon into a spicy, merry scent perfect for a shave before fighting hordes of shoppers or opening presents. Each package will include a copy of the recipe, too!
Net wt. 3.5 fl oz. Happy holidays!
Directions for Use
Shake aftershave into your palms (we recommend an amount about the side of a quarter) and rub them together for 3 seconds. Rub your palms over your freshly shaven skin. There may be a mild sting upon initial application, but your face is about to look, feel, and smell awesome. We know you can handle it.

Dickens aftershave revoew
This aftershave is very good. It's difficult to make a splash smell like the soap, and Dickens hit the nail right on the head in terms of scent. Lavanille is another that hit the nail on the head. There are two related issues I had with this splash. One, the label online said there was menthol, and the bottle's ingrediant list didn't list menthol as an ingredient. This is a shame, because honesty in advertising is important. Second, the fact that there ultimately was no menthol made this aftershave splash leave something to be desired. Great splashes (Proraso and Speick come to mind) have an amalgamation of "goodies." It's not just fragrance and alcohol, or fragrance alcohol and menthol. They also contain witch hazel, glycerin, etc. This splash was great in terms of scent, and it does contain a large amount of "goodies," but without the menthol backbone to soothe, it was just a burn and a tight face. The menthol cannot be put on a pedestal, it's not the be all end all ingredient, but it is certainly necessary for a soothing splash. Think of it as jelly without peanut butter - jelly is good, but without peanut butter, it's somewhat held back. Dickens was held back by its lack of menthol.
This aftershave is excelent, the post shave sensation is great. It smells like bubblegum.
