Leviathan Shaving Soap

24.99 Sale Save

Leviathan. The Biblical Serpent who will consume the world come the End of Days. Legend has it that he lives beneath the seas, awaiting his chance to devour all of Creation. Some sailors still speak his name in hushed tones and cross themselves to ward off his ancient, ravenous hunger.

In perfume, there is nothing more darkly ancient than leather. We discovered the formula for an archaic, forgotten Russian leather accord and blended it with notes of sandalwood, coffee, cedar, and musk to create a dark, feral scent well-suited to its namesake. Elemental and at times slightly unsettling, Leviathan is a scent to accompany you to the end of the world.

The Soap

Wet your shaving brush well, then swirl it around the jar for roughly thirty seconds or until a rich, creamy lather is formed. Continue building the lather by adding water and swirling your brush either on your face or in a lathering bowl. Shave, rinse, and spend your day feeling great.

Another winner

I hate to sound repetitive but this is another winner from Will. The ease of lathering is greatly appreciated. As for the aroma, I'd describe it as masculine. My sense of smell is not that acute. The aroma reminded me of leather and coffee. Just what I wanted.
Keep up the great work.

Perfection.

Smells like a 89 VW Jetta with leather seats that may have been owned by a former smoker who spilled some black coffee in it. The base is peerless, best performance in the soap game. Embrace the darkness and order Leviathan.

Wow...just wow

I have to be honest... When I took my first whiff of the aftershave splash, I wasn't in love or in like with it. But, I love B+M, so I knew I needed to give it a shot. I bought the soap, aftershave and shave soap. When I unwrapped the soap (they have a cool artisan paper wrapper), I felt the same--indifferent. I figured I'd use it up but probably wouldn't purchase it again. But in the shower the smell began to grow on me. I then used the shave soap, and I was beginning to love it! When I applied the AS l, I was hooked!
When I first smelled the AS from the bottle, it reminded me of when Coke came out with their cola and coffee mix. That was almost a couple of decades ago, and again just a couple of years ago--both for a VERY short time. The concept just didn't have that much acceptance. The smell also reminded of when you brew a pot of coffee, and leave the hot-plate on for too long when there is only just a little left; also, when you spill said scorched black coffee on your shirt and smell it all day. It's not a bad smell. It just makes you think of a clumsy accident. BUT, the Leviathan fragrance really begins to mellow when you use it, and it envelopes you in the exotic, mysterious and dark scent as they describe. This, for the moment, is my go-to Fall/Winter shave. It's just so fantastic!

10/10

Performs as you’d expect an omnibus soap to, smells ok off the puck but paired with the after balm it’s perfection.
