Classic scent but with something more

I've never used Gillette Cool Wave, so I can't relate. The scent initially smells familiar, but it adds a layer of sophistication and a little more complexity than I would expect from a "marine" scent. After testing the soap, I immediately ordered the splash, which pairs really well with the variety of shaving soaps I have on rotation.

Inoffensive smell, wouldn't buy more

3/5 may be overly harsh. I like the shaving performance of this soap, but based on the scent I wouldn't buy a full-size container of this. To me, I find it hard to imagine that anyone could DISLIKE this scent, but I didn't like it nearly as much as many of the other scents.

Fresh and masculine

The shave soap base is one of the best in a crowded field. It takes water like no other and offers slickness that rivals oil on glass.
Where this stands out even more is in the quality and composition of the fragrance. Light and aquatic, yet masculine. A true masterpiece!
