A popular haunt for corpse harvesters in the nineteenth century, who emptied its graves to fuel the lectures and research of local medical schools, Boston's Copp's Hill Burying Ground has long been thought haunted by ghouls and vengeful spirits. The murderer John White Webster is said to rest here in an unmarked tomb, and the Lovecraftian tale "Pickman's Model" speculates that the place is a hive of undeath and rot, a gathering ground for restless souls and unrealized doom. There is a rumor that small children around Copp's Hill are still not allowed outside past dark.

Taking inspiration from the swamps and churchyards of the city, we combine vetiver, oakmoss, black pepper, cocoa, labdanum, and cedar to produce a deep, cold scent suited to the chilly, bitter days of late October. Gloomy, rich, and perversely elegant, Hallows is a reminder of why men once feared the dark.

The Balm

People have been asking us for ages why we don’t make an aftershave balm and, the truth is, we just hadn’t been able to come up with something that we really liked. Over the years, we’ve tried bunches of different formulas, refining the design over and over to produce something truly special: a balm that’s light, non-greasy, moisturizing, and very soothing.

After an unbelievable number of trials, Barrister and Mann® is proud to present our finished aftershave balm formula! Enriched with jojoba oil, kokum butter, hyaluronic acid, radish oil, allantoin, and a suite of botanicals to leave your skin feeling great, this balm is light and nourishing and will leave your skin feeling calm, soft, and supple all day long.

Awesome scent

I wasn’t sure if I would like the balms or not but have to say I am a huge fan of this one. Not heavy or thick like I had thought and scent is amazing. Feels great and smell sticks around for a decent amount of time.

Amazing Balm for the DARK!

I am surprised that there are not more reviews of this great balm ! The scent firstly has a little more pronounced cocoa in my opinion and not as ghoulishly earthy as the soap (great stuff!). It compliments the soap perfectly and I assure you , you will be cupping your hands over nose to get that rich smell that is hard to explain . The hydration experience is there and as I have described about other balms from BM , upon application , the possible irritations will go away leaving you with silky smooth skin. Get it and use it!

Ability some consider to be unnatural

When will obtained Sith powers to create this unholy beauty, he did so with customers in mind. It's like an eraser for my less-than-stellar shaving ability and makes my face look and feel as if a professional shaved me. The scent is perfection with deep earth and chocolate, lasting hours after the shave. My face is so smooth, it's as if I never grew facial hair at all. No shine, no stickiness, and just all around a wonderful product. Thank you!

Great scent! Great lather!

The scent has a dark cocoa and woods kind of scent which is as Halloween as it gets. Glad to have picked this limited edition up!

Made my face and stubble the softest ever

This was the first of B & M’s aftershave balms I’ve used. The Hallows scent is great, I get a serious cinnamon base, but it’s not overwhelming or sweet like a lot of cinnamon scents can be.

The performance is also excellent. It goes on very easily, and a little goes a long way. My face was so unbelievably soft, and I put some on my goatee which also loved it. There was no tackiness or oily feeling, just delicious softness. The only issue I had was that it made me break out so badly. I used it for a couple of weeks to see if my skin would calm down, but alas it did not. This probably has more to do with my skin being dramatic and not with the product itself, so don’t let this deter you. It’s a quality product, don’t miss out.
