Perfection
My first soap from Barrister and Mann, and it was excellent. Hallows has an amazing scent that perfectly fits its description. I've since bought 3 more soaps and 2 aftershaves and they are all fantastic products.
Hallows
B&M nailed it on this soap witch makes it so scary ( no pun intended). I love Hallows this is my second go around with it, this new blend is awesome, not that my other B&M soaps aren't great.the cedar an cocoa really stand out to me, it's a great woodsy secnt. I really enjoy the new formula, leaves your face smooth an refreshed. I believe Hallows should be in every shaving den, pick one up an you'll see what I mean. Great job Will
Hallows
Hallows is a very good soap, lathers well and smells great. My only gripe is, at least to me, it's not a scent meant for just any shave. I break it out two or three times a year, definitely not a daily shaver despite its quality.
A cold scent experience full of memory
As with all B&M seasonal and limited release soaps (and AS) I have had the pleasure of trying Hallows arouses many emotions and memories. It might not be for everyone and if you're looking for a safe and familiar shaving scent this may not be what you're looking for, but if you are lookimg for something to stir your senses and add some variety to your shaving experience I would highly recommend Hallows. It is a "cold" scent but not in the OMG WE'VE PUT SO MUCH MENTHOL IN HERE YOU'D HAVE TO BE A ********* TO USE IT sense. Think dark, damp, and decaying. Contrary to what the fantastically designed label may lead you to think it's not the smell of decaying flesh but more akin to the smell of damp, decaying leaves on a chilly fall day. The soap loads and lathers easily and gives fantastic cushion and glide. The scent washes away with the post shave rinse but when used with the matching B&M Hallows aftershave it will extend your scent experience a bit and your face will thank you for the amazing nourishing ingredients. I can normally catch a hint of the AS scent periodically for up to 12-18 hours later, although very faintly (YMMV as the saying goes). If you view shaving as an unavoidable chore and are looking for something more standard, well B&M makes some of that too (check out the "Classics" with the same amazing performance and nourishing "face food" ingredients), but if like many others you have come to find the benefit in wet shaving of a routine that forces you to slow down, gather your thoughts, and reminisce then I highly recommend Hallows.
Love Hallows
The 2016 edition of Hallows to me is very nostalgic. I love the depth and sweetness of the cocoa, the subtlety of the vetiver, the oakmoss is nice, it's a great experience, the glissant base is so wonderful, I'd buy it even unscented. The Hallows aftershave I later purchased in Pasteur's, I was amazed at how the scent stays around, I would love to see it in a non- alcohol balm in the future. Will is a genius for having created this soap. I love it. And the packaging is top of the line, black container and skull label. This is my favorite label so far out of the Hallows line.
