The Scent

Based on one of the oldest forms of perfume, Cologne Russe is a throwback to a scent created by the House of Guerlain for the Russian royal family and discontinued in the early twentieth century.

We blend lemon, bergamot, petitgrain, and herbs with violet, rose, bay, and amber to produce a rich, beautifully fresh scent derived from the colognes of old. The scent is distinctly warmer than most other cologne-type fragrances, owing largely to its inclusion of castoreum, benzoin, and vanilla. Clean and elegant without the aloofness of some other scents, Cologne Russe is the perfect way to brighten your morning.

The Soap

Sometimes there's nothing so comforting as good old-fashioned bar soap. Tyler Durden called it "the yardstick of civilization," and it has long been in the running for the most important medical development of all time. It's safe to say that we would not have made it nearly as far as a species were it not for the invention of soap in Sumeria thousands of years ago.

While we believe in simplicity, we know that many people do not care for soap made from animal fats. Thus, we're thrilled to debut our brand new vegetable bar soap, made with responsibly-sourced, certified-origin palm oil, pomace olive oil and avocado oil, moisturizing cupuaçu butter, and goat milk powder for a nourishing, moisturizing soap ideal for any time of year, but especially for the cooler, drier months.

Excellent bar soap that doesn't dry you out. Smells great, too.

Really quality stuff that is worth the cost. Leaves your skin feeling clean and conditioned. Fragrance is subjective but I really enjoyed the Cologne Russe. Can't wait to order some Bay Rum and others.

Smell like the protagonist from a 19th century novel!

It's a unique and classy scent in a nice soap bar. You know how some scented soaps smell cheap? Not this one. The scent has the complexity and depth of a nice perfume. Makes me think of a classy gent in a well-fitting uniform stepping out of a historical novel.
