Pretty Disappointed

The original Roam is one of my favorite Barrister and Mann fragrances. I have been nursing an old bottle of the aftershave, hoping that I would come across another bottle of the OG aftershave or EdT. I recently purchased a couple samples of the Roam Two shave soap and a bottle of the EdT, and while I don't dislike the updated version of the classic Roam fragrance, I'm left pretty underwhelmed. To my nose, the rugged leather, soil and tobacco notes have been toned way down, and a pleasant sweet grass note now dominates. Truth be told, I would have almost certainly liked this more if it hasn't been associated with the Roam moniker.
