Everyone has a different idea of what a barbershop ought to smell like, but we tend to lean historically for this kind of stuff. Giovanni Maria Farina famously created the very first Eau de Cologne in the early 1700s, and it was an instant success. His formula was prized by the royal courts, and was so highly regarded that it's still in production today. As a result of this popularity, Eau de Cologne fragrances have been staples in European barbershops for well over a hundred years.

While we don't claim to be as gifted as Signor Farina, our Seville scent is definitely in a class all its own. Affectionately dubbed "God's barbershop" by some of our more poetic customers, Seville is a blend of lemon, bergamot, rosemary, lavender, patchouli, and oakmoss. The name comes from the famous opera The Barber of Seville, but the scent is at home anywhere. Give it a try; you won't be disappointed.

It's good soap

It's good soap. Decent fragrance. Lime is my favorite though.

The Shave That Smells Like You’ve Got Your Life Together

I slapped some Seville on my face and suddenly felt like I should be charging folks for haircuts I don’t know how to give. This stuff’s the barbershop scent folks write love letters to. Citrus and herbs and that clean old-school vibe that says, “I’ve got my life together,” even if you’re wearin’ pajama pants at noon.

The lather whips up faster than a dog after a squirrel. Rich, dense, thirsty, and slick enough to make your razor feel like it’s ice skatin’. I had to check twice to make sure there was still a blade in there.

And the post-shave feel? Felt like my face got patted down by a cloud that’s been trained in customer service. If Seville ran for mayor of my shave den, I’d vote twice.

If you’ve never tried Seville, go ahead and treat your face to some manners. It deserves it.

Amazing shave and scent.

Seriously, I've had Nobel otter, proraso, and taylor of old bond street, all good, but this Seville tops them all. The smell is amazing and a real smooth shave.

The Seville shaving soap is top notch

The Seville shaving soap is top notch. The scent is subtle, but extraordinary. I like how the Barrister & Mann soaps are not overly perfumed. The performance of course is very hard to beat.
