The Scent

Leviathan. The Biblical Serpent who will consume the world come the End of Days. Legend has it that he lives beneath the seas, awaiting his chance to devour all of Creation. Some sailors still speak his name in hushed tones and cross themselves to ward off his ancient, ravenous hunger.

In perfume, there is nothing more darkly ancient than leather. We discovered the formula for an archaic, forgotten Russian leather accord and blended it with notes of sandalwood, coffee, cedar, and musk to create a dark, feral scent well-suited to its namesake. Elemental and at times slightly unsettling, Leviathan is a scent to accompany you to the end of the world.

Directions for Use
Just unwrap the sample and smush it onto a plate or into your favorite bowl or jar, then lather! Each sample is an ounce of lathery goodness, perfect for travel or just for trying out something new.

Much better than I expected

Odd, I didn't particularly like the scent of this soap straight off the puck, but it changes on being lathered and applied to skin, becoming this beautifully complex, dark and rich scent.
I can see why it is so many people's favorite winter scent.

Now I know....

Full disclosure, I had heard mixed reviews about the nature of this scent prior to purchasing a sample. But, I had to find out for myself which side of the fence I landed on. Unfortunately for me, Leviathan is a pass. While the soap itself performed excellent very slick, nice cushion, the scent doesn't do it for me. I get the notes of leather and coffee, but compared to absolute B+M bangers I own such as Electric Myhem, Dickens Revisited, and Passiflora.....it's a pass for me. I'm glad I purchased a sample first.
